With the Via Alpina and Walker’s Haute Route, we are delighted to offer two fantastic long-distance hikes through varied terrain. Stay in comfortable chalets or traditional Alpine huts and experience the camaraderie amongst walkers along the trails. And rest assured that wherever you choose to go, there will always be an opportunity to indulge in a feast of raclette or roesti after your walk! 

The classic alpine trekking route. The Tour du Mont Blanc takes you all the way round the magnificent Mont Blanc Massif, the highest peak in western Europe. Hikers are treated to the full spectacle of beautiful alpine scenery - from green valleys, to mountain pastures and high mountain passes. Overnight stays range from quiet alpine villages to high mountain huts, where you can continue to enjoy mountain views over dinner.

The Walker’s Haute Route takes you from one famous centre of mountaineering to another - from Chamonix, resting in the shadow of Mont Blanc, to Zermatt, nestled beneath the Matterhorn. The route in between takes walkers over a series of dramatic mountain passes and through remote Alpine scenery. Many nights are spent in high mountain refuges, where civilisation feels a million miles away.

Trek through the best mountain scenery the Bernese Oberland has to offer, in this Highlights Inn to Inn Tour. Here you’ll find quintessential Switzerland - peaceful Alpine pastures, in the shadow of the famous Eiger and Jungfrau, the sound of cowbells in the distance. This two-centre trip starts off in Zermatt, the quintessential Swiss mountain town, and then heads to Saas-Fee - just a short train ride away - a little quieter, but surrounded by no less spectacular mountains.

The Bernese Oberland hosts some of the very best of the Alps in general and is as quintessential Switzerland as it gets. This Rail & Trail Tour starts off in the bustling town of Grindelwald, surrounded by Alpine pastures, in the shadow of the famous Eiger and Jungfrau, with the sound of cowbells in the distance. After Grindelwald, you will hop on the train to Mürren, a car-free village perched high on the side of the dreamy Lauterbrunnen valley.

Hidden away in a quiet corner of Switzerland, the beautiful Engadin valley is a paradise for lovers of nature and gentle walks. On this Rail & Trail Tour you’ll explore Switzerland's only National Park, where nature abounds, alongside traditional Engadin villages, sparkling lakes and high peaks. Based first in the trendy town of St Moritz, head up to the Fuorcla Surlej, one of the great Alpine viewpoints.
